Block 7
About the Project
Block 7 is located less than an hour’s drive west of Muscat and is accessible via the Muscat–Sohar Highway up to Mulladda, followed by a 25-kilometre drive south along the paved Rustaq Road to the village of Al Hazm.
In 2013, Alara submitted mining license applications for two highly prospective copper-gold zones—Daris East and Daris 3A5—following extensive exploration activities conducted in Block 7 between 2010 and 2012, including
- 1,200-line kilometres of helicopter-borne electromagnetic (VTEM) surveys,
- 163-line kilometres of ground magnetic surveys, and
- 20-line kilometres of ground IP and EM surveys
- 67,66 meters drilling in 78 holes for various purposes in Block 7
These exploration campaigns led to the definition of a copper-gold resource at Daris East and confirmed the presence of high-grade copper mineralization at the Daris 3A5 prospect.
